Hello from New Principal Mr. Bryan Howse
Dear John Weldon Parents,
I am thrilled to become a part of the John Weldon family! I look forward to building new relationships with each of you. As the principal of John Weldon, my goal is to nurture, support, and challenge your children as they become great leaders within our school and community.
I began my educational career as a paraprofessional and coach at Francis Howell Central High School. My teaching career started at Riverview Gardens High School as a Business Education teacher. I spent four years serving as an assistant principal in the Wentzville School District and was a principal the past two years in the Rockwood School District. As a principal, I was able to build strong relationships and encourage everyone to do what is in the best interest of kids. I am proud to have been the principal of the only school in Missouri designated as a “Lighthouse School” in The Leader in Me program, which is a leadership model based on the book 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
My wife, Rene, and I are both graduates of Francis Howell High School and stay busy with our three children. We have Evan 13, Kami 12, and Eli 5. Evan and Kami attended John Weldon, and Eli will start Kindergarten there this fall. Rene also has a background in education and currently works as a teacher at Westminster Christian Academy. We enjoy watching our kids play baseball, basketball, football, and volleyball during the year, and I am sure we will see many of you around at sporting events outside of school.
As I join in the journey of learning and leadership at John Weldon, I want to take as many opportunities as I can to get to know you and your children. I want to extend the opportunity for you to get to know my family as well me. I am currently in the process of planning several events for John Weldon families -- allowing plenty of time to get acquainted before the new school year. As soon as the dates for these events are scheduled, I’ll share more information with you.
I am committed to ensuring that every John Weldon student receives the very best education possible and that all students and their families understand they are an important part of our school.Over the summer, I invite you to follow me on Twitter @JWEPrincipal as a way of sharing my preparations of joining the Wolves and my summer activities.
