EGG-Citing News:

This is going to be a very special week in Kindergarten! Our chick eggs are due to arrive tomorrow, April 17, with a hatch date starting next Tuesday, April 24. As you can imagine, this is a Kindergarten highlight!  We will be learning all about the life cycle of a chicken and how to care for our baby chicks.  Be sure to ask your child about this wonderful experience!

Ice Cream Update

For our remaining Ice Cream Fridays, 4/20, 4/27, and 5/4, the only 2 ice cream options available will be the red/white/blue popsicle and the green Frog Spit. Please let your children know that this change has been made so that they are prepared for the next 3 Fridays, if purchasing. As always, ice cream purchases are optional and all money must be in their binder in a SEALED envelope or baggie, marked with student first and last name and “Ice Cream” on the front. Thank you!

Homework:

Handwriting Books- Please continue to work in the orange handwriting books, completing any pages that are not completed. It is important to focus on correct letter formation and holding the pencil with an appropriate grasp. Thank you for helping develop your child’s foundational skills! These books are yours to keep!

Reading Logs:  Please continue reading each night to meet our April and May reading goals! We celebrate meeting our goals at our Kindergarten morning meetings, and we want all of our children to be recognized for their success in reading! Our April reading logs will be collected and replaced on Tuesday, May 1.
